About
Joseph Talerico [b. 1994] is an American artist working in Georgia, USA. Today, he is documenting the salvage and conservation of the 1715 Plate Fleet and the Nuestra Señora de las Maravillas, 1656. Raised by his mother in Connecticut and Massachusetts, Talerico is a child of the Mayflower carrying with him 9 generations of the Alden name. In later years, his father, a 28 year Senior Master Seargant of the United States Air Force would shepherd Talerico into the Air Forces Special Operations Command where he served during Operation Enduring Freedom and Resolute Support before publicly documenting his work in treasure and the motion picture. His work is derivative of written essays—collaborating with non-actors and the world’s leading shipwreck salvage organizations, archeologists, and other expedition teams. Early 19th and 20th century imaging techniques are exclusively used throughout with much of his early work being silent often with live musical accompaniment as well as hand crank 35mm projection from the Motiograph Model No. 1-A [Enterprise Optical Manufacturing Company, 1896, 1908].
A currently untitled photographic and motion picture exhibition will be held by Institute 193, in Lexington Kentucky in 2028.
